How to Create an Event Attached to Your Facebook Fan Page

Recently I’ve had a few people ask me how to create an event on Facebook so that their Fan page and not their personal profile is the host. It’s easy to do. Here’s how:

First, go to your Fan page while you’re logged into Facebook. Under your Page’s picture (on the left side of your wall) you’ll find the “edit page” link. Click it.

Once you’re in the “back end” of your page, scroll down until you find the “events” application. Choose “edit” and you will be taken to the “create an event” page. Create the event as usual. Your page will be listed as the host of the event.

Make sure you have the “events” application set to allow it to post to your page. Do this under settings. You can also decide whether you want an events box on your wall page or to have a tab (or both).

Now that the event is set up, you can start promoting it as usual.
